Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 May 2026
Stroomflow B.V. ("Stroomflow", "we", "us") operates the Stroomflow streaming data platform and the website at stroomflow.com. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We are the data controller for the personal data described here.
1. Data we collect
We collect data you provide directly — such as your name, work email, company and message when you create an account or contact our sales team. When you use the platform, we process account and usage metadata (logins, API usage, throughput metrics) needed to operate the service. We do not inspect the content of the event payloads you stream through the platform beyond what is required to deliver them.
2. How we use your data
We use personal data to provide and secure the service, to respond to enquiries, to send service and (with your consent) product communications, to bill customers, and to comply with our legal obligations. We rely on the following legal bases: performance of a contract, your consent, our legitimate interests, and compliance with the law.
3. Where your data is processed
All customer data is stored and processed within the European Union. We host our infrastructure with EU-based providers and do not transfer personal data outside the EU/EEA. Where a sub-processor is involved, we maintain a current list and appropriate data processing agreements.
4. Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above or as required by law. Streamed event data is retained according to the retention window of your plan and is then permanently deleted.
5. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent at any time and lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected].
6. Cookies
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to secure the service. We do not use advertising cookies or sell personal data.
7. Security
We protect data with encryption in transit and at rest, strict access controls, audit logging and regular security reviews. Our platform is operated under a SOC 2 Type II program.
